Mouth - Gum - Teeth Guard/Shield

I grind my teeth at night and coughed up for a £65 custom fit lower teeth shield from the dentist. Anyone else? How do you clean it she said just soap but I want to use something a bit tougher as I can't get down right into it where my front teeth go.

Is listerine safe to use for my teeth and the gum shield maybe? someone moaned in a review that it wore their enamel away.

I tried that Corsodyl daily mouth wash but it made my teeth go a yellow/brown and she had to give them a really good polish

I don't see her for another 5 months and I'm not booking ANOTHER appointment to ask one question, her time isn't cheap you know. My Rugby gum shield is made of a tougher plastic but it's got mud all over it so I'm not bothered about it as it's only in for 1.5hrs.

Hi just use tooth paste and your tooth brush wont do it any damage and keeps it nice clean and fresh , have you tried te pees for your teeth also they are brill can buy them from some dentists and come in different sizes keeps in between teeth really clean so no build up and really easy to use can also be bought from superdrug.

I'm sure they wouldn't mind a phone call even if somebody has to call you back.

Thats how much my dentist wanted for mine under the NHS but they also do private dentistry and can make me one for £70 - I am still thinking about getting one as im not a grinder but am a clencher.

Do you get a clicky jaw? My jaw clicks evertime I open my mouth wide!

I posted another thread a couple of weeks ago complaining i was really disappointed with the night guard because its got holes in already. At least it explains the head and tooth aches i used to get. Waking up in the morning is such a pleasure now. I would totally recommend anyone who thinks they might be grinding/clenching their teeth at night.
