I was recently in a similar situation to yourself looking for a fairly cheap MP3 and video player. After long deliberation I decided to push the boat out a bit and go for a top player - The Creative Zen Vision: M.

If you can afford to do this, I would definately reccomend this player. With 30GB of memory you will never be short of space for both movies and music. Furthermore, you can get hold of an av lead and watch your movies on your TV which is an added bonus. Overall, excellent player if you can afford it.

P.S. There is a pixmania voucher kicking about somewhere on here too bringing the price down a notch.

EDIT: Ooops I forgot to mention there is a pink version available here!

That's a nice looking little device. However, I can personally recommend this one:

I just bought one of these for my daughter's Christmas. And it is only 2/3 size of the iPod Nano. It's unbelievably small, yet allows you to play movies on it, and has games (Tetris included! and a kind of bejewelled too).

It includes a software bundle which is pretty good too for converting movies from .avi files. And the pink colour is lovely and pastelly - my wee girl's gonna love it to bits.

It's £12 cheaper than the pixmania one, at £29.75 delivered, but will take 7-14 days to arrive. Their customer service is also very good.
