I have a MP3 text alert on my phone (a cat's meow), but sometimes I cannot hear it even though the phone level is at full. Is there a program that will let me raise the sound level of the MP3 itself? I'm looking for a free solution since I will only be using it once. Any ideas will be appreciated.

itunes would let you do it

guide

1. select the song you want to adjust
2. press CTRL + i
3. go to the options tab at the top
4. adjust the volume level to your liking

Will this work for any MP3 player (Nokia 6300) or just an iPod?

actually i dunno if it actually edits the file itself to raise the volume level of the file or just remembers to adjust it when playing.

just try boosting the volume and copying the file over and see if that makes a difference

Maybe a new Meow mix would do it ????????

Audacity is a free mp3 editer which which will let you amplify the volume.

]mp3 gain adjust the volume without directly altering the mp3 music data

mp3 trim - lets you cut the songs down to size and also adjust the volume

Use MP3Gain.

@Snowtiger, your pictures suck.
