Hi hopefully someone can help.

I'm looking at buying a 17" gaming laptop (for Doom, Battlefield One, FarCry etc) that will also be used by family for homework etc.

My budget is a maximum of £1,800 and ideally I'd like an NVMe SSD and the GTX1070 GPU.

I've seen the MSI GE72MVR 7RG which looks nice and is in budget, however I have heard mixed reports on building quality and heat issues.

Does anyone have this laptop and if so I'd welcome your thoughts on it. If not, does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Personally I would buy a cheap (£200) laptop for homework and leave the other laptop just for gaming.

The homework laptop does not need to be powerful if it is just for basic office tasks and this reserves the gaming laptop just for gaming and saves any arguments.

You can imagine the scenario when one family member wants to do some homework while another family member wants to play games so buy a "cheap" laptop just for homework..

Dell outlet and check the Alienware range
