mums and dads - lelli kelly shoes, are they worth it??

So, my little girl has taken a liking to these lelli kelly shoes....

i think they are gross, but if thats what she likes, ive said we can get her a pair for her birthday

what i would like to know is, from experience are they durable and worth the money as they seem a tad expensive

    cheers

yeah this is the thing, her feet dont really grow that quick and shes still quite little for her age, i just wondered if any other parents have got them for their girls as i dont wanna pay out that much and them fall to bits in a week

Tell your daughter she can't have everything she wants and buy her some daps instead.

    What are daps?

My girls have asked for years, but im like you and think they are awful looking! Iknow realistically they only want them for the make-up or mobile, I can get those free off a girls magazine.

I would never pay near £50 for a pair shoes for them when they are this young, sat on playground scuffing their shoes lol

My daughter wanted them for years, she was relentless, I knew she only wanted the makeup really, rather than a real desire for the shoes.
I eventually did buy her a pair eventually but from eBay, I paid under £8 and they are almost new, I got the ballerina style rather than the Mary Jane style. She was pleased, I was pleased as I could never bring myself to pay £50 for a pair of kids shoes for her to grow out of or ruin. I rarely pay that much for my shoes

Never bought any of my lot these ILP - even though they did see them on the telly with the catchy jingle. They're lovely but my god they are SO expensive. Fair enough if you have the cash and it is for her birthday then go for it. I'm sure at that price they are very well made and should last though.

Have you had a look in Next? I got my two youngest a couple of pairs each of little pumps for £10 each which are fab - canvas, velcro straps and all sorts of designs. Comfy too. 3 year old chose these ones:-

Also got the pink heart ones and butterfly and spotty ones too. Tell her she can have TWO pairs of Next ones (and half the price for you!).

and when she needs new ones she is allowed to choose her own within reason of course, when we went to buy summer shoes she was asking for the ugg type boots lol

Make your own out of some cheap plimps and tell her she wont see them around as there limited edition.

WOW yeah she is small, some of her clothes are still 1 to 1.5, shes 3 in september oO

I've had them for my girls but only the sandals as I find the mary jane ones and trainer type ones are really heavy/clumpy and my youngest just kept tripping over in them. The ones with the ladybirds design are really sweet and tbh a decent pair of clarks shoes are £30+. We tend to keep them for best or parties. I blame that damn advert with the catchy jingle, it does my head in oO

My little girlie has some of the boot ones, they look nice with almost anything and she loves them, i got them in the sale for £30

    £50 oO

Cousin bought a pair of these for her daughter (4) and very rarely got worn. She absolutely had to have them, but really all she wanted was the makeup that came with it and as soon as she got home the shoes got forgotten about.

Hadnt even mentioned the makeup before they bought the shoes though, really thought it was the shoes she liked

    Cousin regrets buying them

Cant say how hard wearing they were because she outgrew them before she had chance to get wear out of them

    erm... no - simples -

they are over rated and over hyped

don't succumb to the talk about these shoes - they are what they are and nothing else -

spend the money on something educational or save the money in a bank account for the little one

    rant over

she has plenty of educational stuff, i was only going to get them as a birthday gift

anyway ive decided against it for now and she can have some more pretty ones from next

My girl got a new pair two weeks ago from Charles clinkard and they set me back £44.50. I got the strawberry design Mary janes, and love them and also her older pairs which sadly are now too small. My husband hates them, I won't tell you what he calls them lol. As for sizing, they are true to size in my case. They go with almost anything, and they can be machine washed. Jobs a good one. Makeup phone still sealed which my girl is too young fir yet, which came with them.

And it was me who wanted them, not her, thankfully she has the same taste lol after I bought them :-)

ILP - have a look at this deal as there's much cheapness there lol
