My giant African land snail has sealed itself into its shell. what's wrong with it?

Is your snail okay?
I looked at that link. Doubt it's to do with dryness.

Given that it's very cold at the moment maybe she's hibernating.

Ours used to do this (seal herself in her shell) quite a lot..sometimes for weeks at a time..then she'd wake up and munch cucumber again.

perhaps next time just leave it to it, unless the room temperature has dropped a lot or something, it sounds like it's just something they do


our tortoise has buried himself in his usual spot in the garden for winter, if I woke him up he'd probably be angry and then die

glad it's alive though

It's because it was dehydrated that's all so better safe than sorry that's why I gave it a shower because if I didn't she could have died of dehydration so lucky I didn't leave her to it
