For some reason my monitor speakers don't work and I have no idea why and Ik it's something to do with the monitor cause I plug in a pair of arion legacy speakers in the headphone jack on the monitor and then I get sound and yes I've checked the volume on both my pc and the monitor and I've tried swapping hdmi too but doesn't do anything differently. any suggestions?!?

Thanks

That's an odd one.

Are you sure it has speakers? It's strange to have a volume control in the menu if it doesn't but it may have other variants that do.

right click on the speaker icon on the task bar in the bottom corner and make sure the monitor speakers are set as default.

well in the manual it says it does I guess I'll have to watch videos on it on YouTube and see if they get sound through the monitor but there is volume control all built in and everything so I don't get it.

If they weren't then he wouldn't get sound out of the jack on the monitor.

Thinking about it the volume control may be just for the jack output. Which model is it?

oh. then I would unplug the monitor and leave for for 5 minuets for the static to go and see if that helps.

it's confirmed it does have built in speakers so now I'm really confused as I got the monitor brand new. Not even a month ago yet.

I don't see any mention of speakers on the Samsung UK website or in the manual download from there:

that volume is obviously just for the headphone jack then like you said I guess....

There's no speakers in the monitor unfortunately
