My contract is up for renewal on the 1st of July i currently get 300 minutes anytime any network and 100 texts plus home internet through Orange livebox.I pay £30 a month on a 18 month contract. ( On this contract they gave me the HTC TyTN II which i sold on.)

I have just been offered the Racoon package 600 minutes,500 texts and unlimited data for £25 a month. ( On this contract they offered me the not so good HTC Touch 3g)

I always sell the phone on so i can offset the money against my contract so i always want the most valuable phone i can get.

Anyway can anybody give me some ideas what i should be looking to get out of Orange to give me the best deal any help would be much appreciated.

I don't use the minutes and texts that i have now so i dont need any more texts or minutes but i do need the data.

...why does it have to be Orange? cant you look at other companies?

It does not have to be Orange i have been with them for about 5 years and i have my home internet through them with no problems but if there was a much better deal around i would look at it.

That contract is garbage.
I was with them on an 18 month contract. That expired.
Went through Retentions (150 then 1-4-3 from an orange handset)

Got given:
1000 mins
Unlim Text
Unlim Data

for £19.58 a month

HTC Touch HD for £100 (which i then sold on for £400 on ebay)

Wait untill your contract is literally just about to run out you will get a much better and much more awesome deal by going through retentions. i wouldnt even be looking at upgrading until the week / week and a half before your last bill date

No problem
oh i alo haggled the price of the touch HD down to £100 from £187 as well. you can get pretty much any deal you want, it just depends on the phone you want.

I now have an unlocked t-mobile G1, so the phone i wanted on a great contract for overall £14 a month (including the profit from the touch HD)
