She bought this before Black Friday so before I open it, I just wanted to know if it’s worth returning:

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’ve searched the web but can’t find this model cheaper
What's the 'Windows pack'?

It's definitely not any sort of deal but £500 is a reasonable price for those sorts of specs in a budget laptop, especially in the slightly more expensive 14" size. My main concern would be the small amount of storage. Are you using more than 100GB on your current laptop?

storage isn’t too important as all our heavy stuff is on a cloud or work drives.

Ps thanks for your input in advance
It’d be a tough choice so I couldn’t say. All the specs are fine, it’s just the processor that’s a bit outdated. Though for £500, you wouldn’t get much better than what you have there.
i'd say return it if you can

there are better spec laptops for that price
I would say around 100 cheaper u can buy same spec
Take a look at that

The processor isn't outdated at all, it's the very latest Kaby Lake design.
