Christ thats a real pisser. Get in touch with Microsoft, worth a chance.

don't think it will be covered under warranty because its not due to hardware failure.

Do you have the receipt and did you buy it from a shop

Your mum never tripped over the cable, The dvd drive just stopped working..................

(Thats what Microsoft need to hear anyway!)

    All good then.

Depends if there is evidence on the case of it dropping...

If there is, you just need to hope there isn't an eagle eye unwrapping this for repair.

Just blame it on the post for the damage.

You'll get a refurb back rather than your actual 360 most likely.

It's not hard to tell the difference between postage damage and other damage...

For one, people in repairs usually check the packaging first for these kind of claims.

ok put it in the box, then kick it

Then you have the courier to contend with...

Remember, if the packaging looks damaged, do you think the courier is going to take the hit on that...

ok. Put in a box. Kick it. Then Put it in a black plastic bag ("to make sure it doesn't get wet") then give it the courier?

Or just do what most normal people do if you have accidental cover on your home insurance and just CLAIM.

    wheres the fun in that

Have not read all of the answers here but I recently took my xbox360 to a person who does not live too far away from me and has a repair auction on ebay. He fixed it and he might be able to repair your xbox360 if you're not covered by insurance/warranty.
