Mystery of the man on the moor. Calling all HUKD/internet keyboard detectives...

Found 20th Mar
Whats your theory on the mystery of the man on the moor?.

If you haven't seen it then heres the documentary:
channel4.com/pro…oor

To sum it up, he was a quiet man that lived quietly here in the UK with his Pakistani lodger who was a London bus driver. He sold his house for 214k and mysteriously vanished to Pakistan with another mystery person (possibly the Pakistani lodger) where he lived for a decade.

He had his leg broken while in Pakistan but nobody knows how. The apartment he lived in Pakistan was bought by David on behalf of a Pakistani national, as outsiders aren't allowed to purchase property, which was bought for around 100k pounds.

He then mysteriously left Pakistan by purchasing plane tickets using a credit card that he didn't own, arrived in the UK with i think it was said 9kg of luggage, which cannot be found anywhere.

Eventually he made his way to the moor where he was found dead. Apparently he died due to strychnine poisoning. He had just £130 cash to his name.

Go on then HUKD detectives fire away..

Who is David?

Probably got conned in Pakistan by his mate or blackmailed by his lover.

Robbed a card & purchased tickets. Bought poison in Pakistan & put it in his pill bottle to get through customs. Came home & killed himself in a place he had a good memory or sentimental memory of as a child/adult.

His luggage went in the bin when he ate it.

The dead guys name was David Lytton

Personally I agree with YDWTK that it was a suicide, but I'd be interested to hear what happened to the lodging bus driver...

Doesn't explain why he had 5 days booked in at a hotel though, if you was going to kill yourself you'd surely just book the amount of days you plan to stay at the hotel. Booking 5 days suggests he was going to return.

Also doesn't explain where all his money had gone.

Who's credit card was it?

Booked the hotel room not thinking properly. He in his state of desperation "booked" 5 days. Thats 5 days in a prison cell with no money or additional food.

Changed his mind when reality hit him a bit. If you are going to kill yourself why do it in a hotel whilst starving. So he went to die somewhere of his choice.

What happened to the man on the moon from that John Lewis advert? Did they leave him up there?

I don't think the British police have got that info out of the Pakistani authorities yet. In fact there's next to no information about Davids time in Pakistan, apart from pictures shown on the documentary of where he allegedly lived.

dunno

Perhaps he's involved in another acting role?.
