no you cannot claim!! it can be repaired as long as it is in the tread area..

    Psssssssssssssssssss the air is leaking

just get yourself to a tyre seller/garage. they should put a permanent fix for about £6-£8

first job is put the spare on assuming its full size.if nail is in tread pattern it should be easily repaired.if not buy a s/h tyre plenty arond ok if you spend all your time pottering about.

I drove around for weeks with my puncture, topped it up now and then. repair = £10-£15 if its on the tread, they wont repair it if its near the side, or if the tyre is too old/ not a lot of tread left.

btw, don't drive it if the tyre is flat, it's fine so long as it's inflated. They should sort it for you

can i claim this on car insurance? no

they ( tyre places) can often repair punctures caused by nails, I've had a few done for £20 but not if the puncture is in a dangerous place. New tyre £30 or maybe £45, often worth it in the long run. Last puncture I had was quite slow, kept pumping up the tyre with an electric thingy from Halfords until I could get it sorted.

there's a lot of us not watching the footie or is it half time? -:D

Take it to a tyre place you may be lucky it might just pull out without any damage

    try ]HERE for local places

    Half time!!

When I had my tyres changed (cos of low treat), they found a 5 inch nails in both of them. God knows how long I'd been driving around like that but presumably a while as there was chance for two to get in!! I never had any problems so I wouldn't start panicking!!

:):):) can i claim this on car insurance?

The side is where all the letters and numbers are. The top of the tyre is where the tread is. If the nail is in the side, you need a new tyre, if its on the top (where the tread is) they can fix it.

while you are there get them to show you how to change a tyre too, its a good thing to know for future reference
