Warwick and avon ring is really nice route as you get to do the hatton steps down into warwrick....when we did it we hired our boat from bidfordboats.co.uk/

You pick up the boat after lunch, so you get to spend your first evening in Stratford-upon-avon.

Edit....looks like the base has moved from broom to stratford-upon-avon.

You won't get a narrowboat on Norfolk Broads but the cruisers are lovely. Blakes and Hoseasons are the biggest holiday companies round here but there are lots of smaller companies too

Nice one guys, thanks for the replies. Looking at between £1200-£1800 for a week. Somehow I thought it would be a lot cheaper!

Have you looked at shared ownership....works out a real bargain way of getting a boat for a few weeks a year.

Foxy....buy a copy of waterways world....loads of ads for holidays in there....nearer the season they start discounting quite heavily.
