NAS any size or just enclosure...must be able to switch to USB

I want to add a networked drive but also want to use it as a USB drive, I have found this...


Are there any alternatives? cheap enclosures that I could stick my own drive in?

Either buy the DNS-313, or buy the buffalo wzr- 300NH router and a usb drive to go along with it.

DNS-313 = ntfs formatted drive.

Router+USB = xfs formatted drive for large files.

I have both setups.
both expensive solutions and the dns-313 has some patchy reviews.
