National Trust 3 month membership payment break

Hi everyone,
Not sure how many of you will benefit from this, but I’ve just received an email from National Trust to say that they are able/willing to offer a 3 month payment break for those who pay for membership via monthly direct debit ... obviously they’d rather that you didn’t take them up on it as they’re a charity! However, at this time every little saving helps so I thought I’d share with you all.

I’ve just checked that part (I hadn’t looked before as it didn’t apply to me!)... It says they’ll give you a 25% discount when you renew next time. I’ve attached the link for more info

I wouldn't trust National Trust with my socks. Hopeless

Ah, so does this mean I won’t be getting my £30-odd quid back from them anytime soon?
As I see it; Those who have paid in full on an annual membership, have to wait until next year to receive 25% discount (same amount £30) off their membership. Absolutely no benefit. The National Trust may even decide to increase the cost next year!
At least with a monthly direct debit, you don't have to wait a year to cancel!
I appreciate that they are a charity, but frankly I expected better.
