Naughty Argos - they RIPPED me off!!!

Just been to their website to place an order for delivery, I only placed it online as all the items I wanted weren't available for local collection. The website says all items are instock, it asks for your postcode, again everything is fine. I tap in my credit card details, hit place your order, and then it says half my order isnt in stock. What the hell are they playing at?

What has peeved me the most is the fact that I specifically paid the 4.95 postage for the items I couldnt collect locally, that ended up out of stock anyway. I then recieve the email saying my card has been charged for the items that were in stock (that I could of collected locally) and Ive been charged £4.95 for the privillage, that I could of saved myself.

What a con and rip off. Ive already read of the bogof trick/balls up and now this. Not impressed at all.

I Would Suggest When You Pick Your Other Items Up Ask To See Manager And Explain About Goods Which Were Not Available Even Though Postage Paid And See If They Will Refund You The Postage
If You Contact C/s Online Or On Phone You Will Get Sooooo Frustrated With The Non - Action

i bought a cheap LCD tv on saturday, seemed a reasonable deal 19" WS HD Ready, good number of connections, £149.99

asked 2 quick questions at customer service as i was in a hurry, is it digital/freeview equiped, and as it is already reduced by £10 from 159 how do i know it wont be cheaper in the sales, and i was told, yeah it's digital, and no, as it was already reduced it wont be reduced any further...

well, no freeview, and then when i checked lastnight it was another £5 cheaper.... it went back this morning !! queue for customer service was twice as long as sales ... that should tell you something

No it was a raptor thingy and some stuff for the house. I wil ring them tomorow and try and get the postage refunded.

Just rang them and the woman said 'yes the website is having problems not letting people know its out of stock untill you've paid' then chuckled :x So ive cancelled that order and i'll go and pick it up instead.

Lesson learned? Don't shop on-line, very one is having problems with them.
