Nectar dvd rentals 5000 points scam

I signed up to the nectar dvd rentals 14 day trial for 5000 points after speaking to a nectar advisor who told me that all I had to do was complete the 14 day trial and I would get the points.
The points were to be alloated in 3 batches: 500 on signing up, 500 at the end of the 14 day trial and 4000 after 28 days.
I rang up today after the 14 day trial as I have only had the 500 initial points added. I was then told that I had to stay on for 2 months after the trial to qualify for the points; NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD BEFORE !
I asked to speak to a manager but they are all BUSY apparently on saturday afternoon at 3pm !
I feel like I have been scammed by nectar !

THAT WAS WHY I ASKED TO START WITH so I could make an informed decision as to whether or not I wanted to go ahead with it

Well the post on hukd on this offer clearly states it's 500 upfront, 500 on first payment, 4000 on second payment

I didnt see the post on hukd, it was an offer on my nectar page. Plus surely their advisor should know out the details of the offer so as not to mislead people

when i got an email about it it said in 3 payments over 2 months

i found the email its the main body of the email no small print

Take a FREE 14-day trial of Nectar DVD Rentals, powered by LOVEFiLM, before 30th September 2010 and you’ll collect 500 points. Then if you decide to stay with us you’ll get another 500 points on your first payment, then an amazing 4,000 points on your third.

I SPOKE TO A HUMAN BEING OVER THE PHONE WHO WORKS FOR NECTAR AND TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO STAY PAST 14 DAYS !

as well as a caps lock fail, op messed up then whinges. Like they would hand over 5000 points for nothing.

I've just completed this and got 500 points initially and after keeping the direct debit going for three months of £3.99 (which gives you 2 DVDs to watch don't forget) I have now just been credited with the final 4000 points- that makes 5000 nectar points for watching some DVDs that you were going to pay for anyway. sweet like honey

Sounds like the guy got confused. He is right that you don't have to stay past 14 says but neglected to say that you would not get the extra points. £25 worth of points for taking a free trial is not something I would expect to get.
