Need a Desktop!

    Hi all,

I need a desktop computer - however, I am really skint at the moment!

I can find a 15" LCD TV for around £90 (or so) at the moment, and my ABSOLUTE budget is £350. so a base up to £250 would suffice (if cheaper, that's great  )

I'm not a huge gamer nor a video editor - but I would like a fast, modern computer which I can upgrade if I need to. 512MB min memory, not fussed about processor - as long as it's fast and modern!

I use the internet a lot, and multi task through normal applications.

I have gone to ebuyer and seen an Acer Aspire T180 with AMD Sempron 3200+ (Excl monitor) for £234 - with 15" LCD = £294.

However, I LOVE this site and I know everyone loves searching for a bargain, so if you can find me a nice, decent speedy computer I'll be really grateful!!

p.s I know you're thinking if i'm skint why buy a computer? I got a £250 grant from my university and £100 for xmas to buy one of these. Trying to study from a laptop is a real pain!

If you wait until tomorrow, Mike normally finds some good cheap Dell deals on the Hot Deals board.

Seen this one before...and just now before you posted!
Looks good, I may stick with this one...Thanks!! :-)…301…304

2 basic units that would probably suit your would the acer one on ebuyer..just require a cheapo keyboard/mouse with the ones you'll be using the TFT TV as the monitor..are you sure it has a VGA input (D sub 15 pin)

If you can stretch to £388 the one dino has recommended is a better PC...remember quidco cashback applies to all the above mentioned..5% with Dell, 3% with PCNEXTDAY and 1.5 % with EBuyer
