Need a Mono Laser Printer for around £100

    Banned
There are several mono laser printers available for under £100.
    I need a recommendation.
It doesn't need to have a NIC and doesn't need to be wireless.
It DOES have to be a stand alone laser printer rather than an all-in-one jobby.
    Won't be printing in colour.
I'm looking for considerations such as long term cost of ownership in terms of consumables.
It will be used to for printing up to a couple hundred pages a week - say about 8k to 10k pages per annum.
Don't want to spend too much over £100.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I know you have said you dont need colour BUT, for the money the printer below is well worth it, its a Dell 1320c, comes with USB or Ethernet and also comes with 2 sets of toner cartridges.

I have bought several sets of toner cartridges for £17 a set, yep £17 for a full colour set of 4 cartridges, each set will print approx 2000 sheets.

    Cost delivered is £133.90

With each set giving you 2k copies each set will last approx 10 weeks, I would actually say more as i've had mine for nearly 6 months, hammered it hard and the gauge has hardley moved.

A typical 2 year period will cost about £140 in toner and the printer i had came with a 2 year on site warranty included (no guarantee yours might tho)

Personally I would go for a HP mono Laser printer such as the HP P1102 LaserJet Pro . I run the older version of this printer and has served me well for 2 years, It has used 1 toner plus the "starter toner" in that time and has probably printed about 5000 sheets of A4 text. As you probably know Lasers printers can save you a fortune!
Last year I also bought a Philps laser printer scanner copier...which is really useful. I bought the full toner as well as the "starter" toner was said to only last 1000 sheets...2000 sheets later its still going strong. Here it is at Argos where you can collect it ..simples :-) argos.co.uk/sta…JUN

Oh and by the way..the Philips printer works OK with Win 7
The HP printer is a good price as well at Amazon

    Thanks for this.
Those sets of toner for £17 - I assume they are not genuine?
Also, is this printer a rebadged lexmark or something?

I'm not totally sure, i.m fairly sure it isnt rebadged, but check google.
they are not genuine cartridges, but, they have more in them than Dells do apparently.

    Toner cartridges are here:

Looks like the printer is a rebadged Samsung but reviews generally seem to be very positive.
Interestingly, that fleaby link you posted (why is the real name for that auction site blocked out on here?!) seems to be for the same company that sells the printer (IJT) but via a slightly different label?

Think I'll give it a go.
Thanks for the info & links!

I know, its weird its the same company, but different wings, online via ebay cheap, thru there site not so...
