Need a new 40" TV for the bedroom.. Help!

Hi, I'm looking for a new TV for the bedroom as ours has given up the ghost. Needs to be no bigger than 92cm across. I think this is 40" no set budget, but I'm not a big techno person, so doesn't need to be all bells and whistles. Thinking about £250 is budget. Seen a hisense on ao. Com for £239. Anyone got anything better to recommend?
    Thanks in advance

asda where doing a philips 40" android smart tv last week for £199.99 if you can find stock.

The best available models at 40" are only about £350-450 so it's worth looking at them. Stuff like the Panasonic DX600 & DX700, LG 630v and Samsung KU6400.

Some of the bells and whistles are surprisingly useful. They all have built in wi-fi with the major UK TV catch-up apps (except the Samsung which I believe is currently missing All4).

That's above what I want to pay as a bedroom TV. Not worried about any catch up. I stream everything via chromecast, won't even have an aerial in the TV. Thanks anyway though

for that budget you'll probably find a blaunkaunt tv or try or display tv in shops

I find it strange that nobody has asked why you "need" a TV in the bedroom. I certainly don't.

i have a projector in my bedroom, so what?

get the hisense mate, a reputable brand now

I agree with ^^^^ get the Hisense. We bought one for the living room and it blows out lg out the water.

I would recommend go for either JL or richer sounds as warranty of 5/6 years is the most important thing
In past I have had tvs dying on me after 2 years

Decided I wanted something instantly so got a Technika for £199 from tesco looks OK and they boast about the Jbl speakers, so hopefully won't be the worst. Probably wrong decision, but hey if I get 2 years I'll be happy and make sure I'm more prepared next time!
