Ok so looking for a new bike, cheap and cheerful so as long it don't fall to bits when riding it.

Anyway have seen these two, but still undecided:

argos.co.uk/sta…htm

Anyone think these are any good or can provide a better one in the same price range.

Thanks.

You probably dont even need dual suspension for starters. Look on eBay or Gumtree for a second hand bike. Will be way better than both of these. A few good names to look out for within that budget are GT,CLAUD BUTLER, TREK,GIANT.

Thanks, never thought of Gumtree.
Will have a look and rethink then oO

Try Freegle, too.

You say that wont fall apart when riding, Are you getting for riding on the road or for mountain biking with, if the later then these will fall apart id reck one of them in minutes unless i killed myself on it first.

It's just for going to work on so will be riding on the roads and the odd dirt path.

Just signed up to ebay too (which I thought I'd never do), lets see what I can get

I hear there are some good ones for 99p on eBay...or is it £9.99? X)

(sorry shops, I couldn't resist!)

Bikes are one of those things for which quality really counts

Buy the best bike you can afford ..

A bad bike is a real bu--er to cycle, they were m's, not g's

Ok, thanks for the tip

I dont think it will have disc brakes that wont be a problem though.

The hard rock has discs

If it does its even more of a bargain but in the listing he says its standard. I've had a specialized rockhopper before and a hard rock. Currently have a claud butler.

Must have given a wrong number?
Well my search continues

Take a look at decathlon, they have a great range of rockrider bikes at very good prices.

Just to let you know I managed to get a Specialized Hardrock Sport for £130 off eBay.

Went to pick it up and then ride it home and as soon as I got on it I was like WOAH! Absolutley amazing ride!
Then I get home and was like, hmm where can I put this (as my old bike was still taking up space), then realized the wheels are quick release, so off they pop and well.. Bob's your uncle

So, yeah, Thanks for all the help
