Hello my fellow comrades!

I could really use some help! My fiance and I are looking to book a 7 night water villa honeymoon in the maldives and I could really use some help as to how to search for the best deals from anyone that has experience in this field!

Any help and advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Live long and prosper!

I'd get on over the the Maldives Forum on Trip advisor - take a look at the top thread titled "Which Resort" and post your answers and budget and I'm sure you'll get plenty of help.…tml

Budget is king in The Maldives with resorts ranging from several hundred to literally tens of thousands of pounds per night, so this will be critical. You must also factor in the cost of transfer to your resort by Seaplane, Domestic flight and sea transfer, or speedboat depending on the distance from Male.

There are a number of UK based Maldives Specialist travel agents who are highly recommended by regular travellers. As you're booking late I'd recommend getting in touch with some of them with your budget and wish list and they'll come back with suggestions of resorts with availability. You'll find details of these agents in the "Top Questions on The Maldives" on the right hand side of the TA Forum homepage (not on the app or a mobile device).

My final thought is that it's a really long journey from the UK, followed by transfer on to your resort on arrival. we've visited three times and will return again in June. If you can stretch your stay to 11 or 12 nights it will be well worth it to allow you to recover from the journey and to maximise your time in paradise.
No help but I am watching this thread as I am also looking to go this year
Many thanks for your comments, much appreciated!
7 days is far too short. You’d be better off going for a cruise with the money if you want a 7 day trip!
Definitely look on holiday pirates they had some amazing deals on there
Give nick Barnes at beaches for less a call ,he is brill used him for 10 plus years now since I gave up being a travel agent
