Problem is always going to be the GFX in a laptop you really need ot be spending quite a bit of cash to get your display settings in the medium to high area. I think Day-Z runs on the Arma engine which IIRC is pretty demanding. Is your friends son content to play at lowered settigns or does he need them high? If its the latter I would suggest he wont be very happy with a laptop for gaming. You really need to be speeding ALOT more. A gaming desktop would be alot more affordable.

person does not want to be spending a large amount of cash for laptop as he will not be playing 24/7 just couple of times a week the rest will be school work and general surfing

Unfortunately a gaming laptop cannot be done on the cheap even the more expensive ones aren't that great performing IMO, that laptop will play the game the CPU and RAM are decent but due to the GFX only being integrated the display settings would be very low, the kid may not be very impressed by this. Its not what you would or even could call a gaming laptop.
