    need help regarding a sideboard i want to sell MADE BY BEAUTILITY

    Hi everyone,i need a bit of help i have a sideboard that i want to sell but the only place i can find similar stuff for sale is the USA and there going for over a $1000 and i didnt think it was wirth that but cant find anywhere in the uk or on the net with info about beautility furniture from the 1950's

    the item is a large walnut sideboard made in 1955 and its made by beautility and the company no longer exists so if anyone can help or would be interested please help me and i may put it up on here for sale at a very cheap price compared to its value.

    have you thought of contacting one of the big auction houses with the internet american buyers do look at british auctions also interior designers buy the big furniture for clients homes

    Furniture such as this is now more or less unsaleable in the UK, except at very low prices indeed - nobody wants it, whatever the quality. Everybody's looking for IKEA-style furniture.

    Having said that, the fact that nobody wants it, and it's being junked, probably means that if you wait long enough it will be very desirable. Only question is - how long?

    thanks to all the info folks,i have searched ebay everyday for the last month and can only find items in the USA like i said before but the link provided with the ended items,it looks like the one that went for £350,think i gonna have to contact a specialist about it,even £50 would do me,i just dont have space and i dont want to tip it.

    i aint gonna freecycle it for someone to sell,but better than tip i suppose

    my mum worked for beautility years ago - it closed down when I was a child - they were really good to their staff and their families - not that this info helpes you sorry - but it certainly made me remember good times x
