    Need laptop help

    Currently own a dell m5040
it has 4gb ram and amd e450 cpu
    thinking about upgrading to ssd
would this be fit to run solid works and auto cad on very light use?

if not whats the best value laptop that would
    budget no more than £350
might go a bit more if it had a full hd screen

I've never used auto cad before but I would recommend a new laptop as your current processor is benchmarked poorly. A new ssd will improve speed but I believe it would still struggle. Just flicking through hotukdeals computers and the first one that's hot would be more than sufficient. Link = Here

Depends on what version of autocad, it has been going for 33 years oO

2013 version only want it if i had to catch up on work maybe an hour week just . would an ssd make any difference in the likes of my laptop

Buy new laptop and strip down your old laptop and sell for spares i.e sell your ddr2 RAM for £13+, your HDD, optical drive cover, screen as well and other parts. For £350 your looking at an i5 with 8gb RAM.
