I need about 300 pages printed out because i have a PDF document and if i printed it out on my printer i would have to pay £20+ for the ink and about £5 for paper so is there a cheaper way to do it?

if this is likely to happen often then this: ebuyer.com/pro…076

plus get cheap printer paper from asda

Library is 7p per sheet (approx)=£21

Do you have access to duplex printer at work? I'd purchase a ream of paper from Asda or Tesco (less than £2) ask to print document and give complete ream or two but only use 150 pages as printing both sides and that should cover cost of ink usage especially if you print in grey scale and not colour. I'd do this for you but it would cost more to post to you.

Don't forget that you can usually print multiple pages to a sheet, I often do 3 pages each side as I find this the right balance between readability and economy. If your print driver doesn't support it then try something like Clever Print or Fine Print

Also set your printer to draft quality, seems to useabout third of the ink on my cannon pixma and for text documents with the odd picture, the quality isnt bad at all

I have a samsung scx4200 laser printer and it's great.. still using the toner that was supplied with it and have printed out at least 800-1000 pages. I have it set on toner save on the printer and also set the quality to draft printing... still have loads left and have had it around 2 years nearly. I would defo recommend samsung like the guy above linked you to if you're after a new printer. New toner costs around £50 approx with a 3000 page yield, but if you do as I did above you could maybe stretch that a bit too.

Ask at Staples, I seem to remember they offered cheap printing services.

Are you anywhere near Leicester?

Cheers, I'll keep them in mind... just not sure about the whole remanufactured cartridges thing.. you hear that people only used it for like 500 pages and then got an error etc. So thinking might be better off to pay the extra £20 and use the whole 3000+ pages worth is all (dependant on page coverage etc)
