    Need postage/packing help

I have only ever posted enveloped and stuff like that, never big packages, and I was wondering if it's allowed to do this. Would I be allowed to package the box that's black, and than tell them to send the bigger box behind it + that together (it's all going to the same person)? And would I have to pay seperate postage for both, or just for both together? OR could I wrap the black box, then wrap around both of them together? Sorry for the noob questions:

Ok thanks! Could I just attach them by a big elastic band, of do I actually have to wrap them together?

tape them together so it classes as a single parcel, otherwise you will be charged two lots of postage, plus two lots of recorded delivery fee's etc, depending on weight you may be cheaper using a courier, £7 for up to 31kg with quite a few resellers,

elastic band? :w00t:no! its likely to get the two parts seperated,
use parcel tape or similar, what I tend to do with parcels is buy a pack of 10 rubble bags from poundland and use these to give parcels a outer wrapper thats fairly tough and water proof:thumbsup:

either or, so long as the end result i they are together, unless its for two different people at the address then id label each one with the recipients name only, then wrap together and address it ie Fred and Rose, Cromwell Road etc.

Ok thanks, and do I write their address etc at home like envelopes or do I go to the post office and then give the address?

    Wrap them together properly.

If they become separated. One will have a postage paid label and go through and the other will be returned/the receiver will be asked to pay up postage for it.

Write it before hand. So the people behind you in the line don't have to wait too long for you to finish.

Ok and judging by the picture where do you think I should write it, and how big?

Sorry for all these questions...I just want to know everything perfectly as our Post Office runners are the moody type

Assuming you are going to tape the black parcel to brown one as seen in the picture I would put the postage label on the far left.
If possible write it nice and big on white paper and then cover the label with see through sticky tape.

Be sure to leave enough space for stickers the post office will attach.

If you're using RM sometimes its cheaper to send parcels separate, firstly you need to know how much they weigh individually AND together and whether you need a signed for service as a courier might be cheaper.

Are you sending it to someone privately or is it something paid for by Paypal for example,as these things also factor into the decision of what postage method is required.

Do you know how much they weigh, have you got scales ?

 go to the supermarket get a very big box and put both items in together ...have you got brain lapses or the brainache...best of luck
