    Need Some Advice Regarding Website Hosting...........

    I have a FREE website which is heatherbrooksurgery.moonfruit.com BUT I want to register a domain such as theheatherbrooksurgery.com and just forward it to the old website......... because a patient came in the other day and told me when he tried going on moonfruit, it took him to a porn website, obviously unacceptable!

    does anyone one how to go about it and how much it will cost? because i dont want to create a new site all over again!!!!

    I'd use an iframe redirecting to the old site if I wanted to hide the use of a free subdomain, but if what you are accusing moonfruit of is true, this just won't help; you need a new host entirely as well as a new domain.
    Moonfruit won't let you use their code/ sitebuilder elsewhere so you either ;
    stick with it and use a new domain (but this wont affect adverts placed by moonfruit)
    or save all your content, recode and host yourself with your own domain name for a coupleof quid a month.
    I'd go with the latter as this is clearly for business and this sort of cost should be fairly de minimis compared to your other running costs.

    http://www.123-reg.co.uk/order?domain=theheatherbrooksurgery&search=search&transfer=transfer&ajax_enabled=true2 years - £5.98Not sure if that is the cheapest though.There should be a control panel provided by 123-reg that will either re-direct people who go to theheatherbrooksurgery.co.uk to your moonfruit site or you can change the nameservers and people will see theheatherbrooksurgery.co.uk/subdomain etc instead of heatherbrooksurgery.moonfruit.com/subdomain

    how do i change the name server to hide the moonfruit bit of the ad

    hi its NOT an advert on the website. moonfruit are ok in that sense.
    i think because its a free website service other people are also hosting with them and surely they have all kinds of weird and wonderful people with various kinds of websites so the issue may be a typing error by the patient or clicking ONTO moonfruit to get to the site or something like that so the main aim is to remove "moonfruit" from the URL and also from the surgert leaflets!

    So your patiens are going to moonfruit.com then sites then searching heatherbrooksurgery?
    or is it just literally a typo? I'v had a look can't see anything wrong in the way of pornsites on moonfruit by either method; perhaps your client has some form of malware?
