Need some help on returning a X box 360

Hi there, this is my first post on HUKD been coming on here for about 2 years now, I bought a X Box 360 on the 30th December, I have decided I no longer want it as it is too loud (I can hear it on while downstairs) I purchased the console from Gamstation anyone know if I can get a refund?

    Cheers,
    David

Short answer is no - it's not faulty and you've decided you no longer want it. The only option you have is to possibly get a credit note for it (if they're feeling extra generous).

When you say 'too loud', what do you mean? Is it loud when you first turn it on or when you're playing a game?

please sir can i have my money back its to loud...hahaha are you mad.................

If it's opened and used no chance of an easy refund from where you bought it

Xbox's are loud somes unbearably so but if you can hear it downstairs could be faulty

What you could do is package it up as best you can and return it to the store say minutes before it closes and argue that you opened it to check contents usually they just want to go home so might if your lucky refund you

    hope that helps

You can hear it between floors!?! Impressive. I can't hear mine if I stand outside my living room door.

to be honest i think your just on here to bash the 360 because you cannot hear it between walls or even outside a room its in(maybe at startup) i cant even hear it when i play my game with the sound quite loud.

How do I go about doing that?

    Cheers :-D

If it has the new dashboard (the one with advatars) then put the disc in, press "y" and select install to HDD.

In the dashboard (you need the new dashboard, connect your Xbox to XBL and it'll prompt you to update), go to my xbox, and then on the picture of the game press Y. Then it should come up with the option to install to hard drive. You'll still get the fan noise, but you won't get the disc noise. This is assuming you have an Pro/Premium or an Elite, rather than the Arcade.

Also, maybe the console causing whatever it is resting on to resonate? Try damping it.
