Novice to all this, throttled it down to Ryzen 5, 8GB, SSD & ISD - where do I buy from? Won’t mind refurbished A Grade. Budget max £500, the cheaper the better. Please help. Thanks

Just do a quick site search. First …Just do a quick site search. The second one includes the magic Ryzen word.

Yep. That's right. I also linked to the others as the OP stated "Novice" and didn't perhaps realise that the i5 is basically the equivalent of the Ryzen 5 chip. I think I'd rather an i5 myself but it's a personal choice, isn't it?

I hope the OP returns to the thread and perhaps might shed some further light on what they need the laptop to do. Also, tell me what "ISD" is? I scratched my head on that one...

I interpreted ISD as Industrial SD (card) support, although an integral SD card reader would not usually differentiate between industrial or consumer grade cards.
Or more simply: ISD means integral / internal SD.

I really don't know, AR. I even "Googled" ISD and became none-the-wiser. I kept thinking along the lines of "Internal" too but came up with nothing. I didn't even know there were such things as 'industrial' media cards.

Perhaps it's "Internet Social Distancing."
