I am not sure but I can do it if it makes a considerable difference in total cost.

just remember that car batterys r going for £10 in scrapyard so take old one there and get some money back off the price of the new battery that u get

Well it's an easy job, but you will usually need at least a socket set.

Any fast fit garage (e.g. Kwikfit (etc.)) will do it very easily. Cheapest batteries will come from a local auto factor. Match the capacity of your battery (in amp hours, amphr, Ah) with the new one.

Thanks a lot for your replies, guys. I have got the following quotes from a couple of places:

halfords: BPS 60 + BPS 5 for fitting. brand is halfords
    kwikfit: BPS 90 for excite.
manbat: BPS 58+ BPS 4 for fitting brand is NUMAX
a local store: BPS 44.3 UNIPART battery without fitting.

All of them come with three years guarantee.

Apparently, unipart seems to be the best buy here.

    Any thoughts?

    unipart is ok

Go with the cheapest. Don't get conned by Kwik fit.
If you're not confident fitting it, take it to a local garage or call around a few.
I changed mine recently. Halfords said £90, local garage supplied and fitted for £35.
Look up the good garage scheme for a local one.

would def try local garage or one off those independent motor shops normally a few about ,and the guys in those sort off places will normally fit it for you and give good advice on best battery for your car
