Need to send important docs to Korea. Fedex or what?

I need to send some important documents to South Korea securely. I have never used Fedex or similar service so have no idea how they work. Can anyone recommend a cheap service? I don't know how it works, I haven't got a fedex or any other couriers office anywhere near my house.
The post office service costs £50 for a 500g package which I think took about 3 days for delivery. It seemed pretty steep. Is this my only option living in a small town?

I would recommend speaking to a few couriers such as DHL, Fedex, City-link, UPS etc and they should be able to collect it from your premises too.

See what prices you could arrange with each one and tell them the dimensions and weight of the package.

    I hope that helps.

Very good point about the post office, they'll only state that it's tracked up until it's about the leave the UK and I think they may say it's been signed for by someone and that's it, whereas couriers are cheaper and provide you with full step by step tracking all the way.
