I need to buy a new electric breastpump, have had manual ones in past and don't find them good enough. Currently using an Avent Electric one but the motor is weakening on it and thinking of trying a new one. Anyone own an electric one, which brand and any good?

what car is it for?

i have a lotus and have a spare but you will need to provide your own nozzle

I found the medela one was good. Think it was about £55 in mothercare.

There a few electric Medela ones,a mini one, then a swing one which is about twice the price of the 1st and then there a really expensive set one,I ideally don't want to be paying anything past £100.
The mini ones says its for occasional use,if it's the 1 you bought did you heavy use it.

Yes it was the mini one, I used it very heavily. My little girl wouldn't latch on so I expressed for her until she was 7 months old. My first breast pump developed a strange noise after about 3 months so I took it back to mothercare and they replaced it free of charge. The second one was fine.

ive got the medela mini and use it for light use and find it really really good! not sure how it would stand up to lots of use but seems sturdy enough.

Thanks 4 the replies.

Will consider getting a Medela one, have emailled them to ask if they go in a steam steriliser as I don't sterilise any other way.

The mind boggles at why my similar thread got spammed but not this :?

They can be stream sterilised, that's what I did

I had the Medela Swing as it was recommended by my heath visitor and I was clueless (still am 8 months on!). I ended up only using it for 3 months but it was very good. It could be steam sterilised so I'm sure the mini could be too.

I'll probably buy the swing one as it's mid range price.
