Nest, or Ring Camera?

Hi, I am wanting a camera to mount outside my front door.

Not sure which to go with. I have a couple of Google Home Mini's, so people keep telling me to go for a Nest as they're all connected, however I don't see the point in a google assistant being any use with the camera! I also read Ring is compatible with Google anyway.

I'm swaying on the Ring Stick Up Camera - Battery, because:

- It's half the price of a Nest on eBay
- Monthly sub £2.50 vs £4.00
- Much easier to install outside - no wires
- Built in siren to scare predators

What does everyone else think? Thanks

A camera up my ring, ouch
Blink? No monthly sub and a doddle to install.

Ring has …Ring has issueshttps://gizmodo.com/rings-security-woes-cause-some-tech-review-sites-to-rec-1840634944

You just add the additional security don't you?

Not sure how this is a real issue
Remember there are better out there many nest ring only record when item is “triggered” , thus you can’t rewind back to say x hours ago as it will be blank if no trigger activated

I'd explain but I can't be bothered.

Because as usual you don't even know what you're on about?
