Just a heads up that Netflix prices in Turkey have risen as of 5/4/2022 I think. Checked last night
and Premium (4 screens) has increased from 55 to 77.99TL (Turkish Lira) . 1 GBP = approx19.3 TL yesterday when I looked. So peoples monthly bill may go up a bit....

Not sure if its been posted already ...

sorted byI added my Revolut virtual card after going to live chat. Been fine ever since.
You can always buy vouchers in Turkish Lira and apply them if you can’t add the card for any reason (edited)
Mine worked a few months ago. i expected a problem but it added OK. Added the new card first, waited a day or two before switching the new card as the default and deleting the previous card.
Not had an email yet advising of any new prices. Wonder if they have increased the prices for new subscribers first? (edited)
I added my new card as an ‘additional’ payment card……save it, they test the payment with a few pence, then reverse it.
Wait for the reversal, then go back into it account and make the new card primary/default……
I didn’t delete the old card details….but they will expire soon enough anyways.
Hope that helps 😁 xoxo
Yes. This has been asked and answered multiple times across multiple threads.
But I'm bored so .. make sure your VPN is on and your account is still active. Go to live chat and advise them you're having trouble entering a backup payment method. They should send you a secure link to enter your card details.
That's how I added my Revolut card a few months back and it worked fine.
I said I was an expat who'd moved to Turkey. So account looked British (as it was started in 2018 in UK) but I had to sign up locally. Said I also had to use a Vpn for work reasons. As he asked if I was on one.
My experience with the first chat person showed some don't care/know and just do as asked and send the link. Others are more suspicious. It'll depend who you get I suppose. (edited)
If it wasn't for my turkey sub then I'd of cancelled long ago, I've watched tons and not enough new content for my liking (at full price)
I didn’t use the VPN to update the card details.
I do have Windscribe, and VPN Unlimited from Keep Solid, got a lifetime subscription a few years back for like a tenner. It’s not the best, but tbh I rarely use it for much, I don’t use it whilst streaming Netflix, etc, unless I want to get USA Netflix xoxo

This subscription method has no effect on watching. If it detects your TV is in the UK you still see the UK Netflix catalogue. Once you've set up your Turkish sub the only change is smaller bills.
Is there any other digital good that is much cheaper in Turkey?
Let's hope my Indonesian Spotify, Indian YouTube premium, Turkish steam and Argentinian crunchyroll all stay the same! (edited)
An extra quid isn’t the end of the world I suppose but I might reconsider premium if it goes any higher and might drop down to standard
Considering Netflix also seem to have closed the loophole about reactivating accounts as well, I might have to investigate how easy it might be to move the account somewhere else, but then prices are going up worldwide I suppose and Turkey will probably still be the cheapest but might be worth looking around (edited)
I use my AMEX to pay no problem 😁 (edited)
Brilliant thank you and the others who've said it does work. Can I ask do you still vpn to Turkey to get it working and if so which one would you recommend?
Thanks
I renewed my revolut card with them a month or so ago, and it was fine.
Share with family. £15.99 / 4 = £3.99 each. As most of these loop holes are now closed
Has anyone else been able to spoof the system?
Turkey's economy is a bit haywire so they up the price? About a quid bump up, but its the damn principle.
Just checked my account and it's still showing I'm subscribed to Premium at 54.99. Standard is already showing the new price of 57.99.
Adding to what germainsophie asked what did you say when they asked about you being british using turkey netflix to get them to provide you with a link?
VPN unlimited didnt seem to work but I was able to redeem the gift card via surf shark. (edited)
It’s a big jump from the 2020 price of £41.99 for the locals but with the exchange rate back then it was £4.25. Might be keeping an eye on the exchange rate and buying some on Revolut.
I want to be annoyed about this but the fact is.. the price going up has only made it what it used to cost before the Turkish Lira went into hyperinflation. So it's back to square one (edited)
