prime is much better for music, next day delivery and kindl stuff. netflix has a better app, and better videos overall, especially their original content.

Agree with above. Its basically if your an Amazon user prime is a nice bonus and you can probably manage without netflix but if your taking it solely for the streaming service then netflix wins by miles!

I'd say that's a pretty solid summary. Another thing to add... The Netflix app is more widely available as well in my experience.

I have both, but use Netflix much, much more than Amazon Prime Video.

I very rarely shop on Amazon and have used both primarily as streaming services. I can safely say Amazon Prime is a pile of poop! They mix free streaming stuff with their rentals (you can filter these out), their app is pretty horrible to navigate and if you want to binge a tv show you will find most of the time they will only have one season to watch...the others you would have to buy or rent.

I prefer Amazon for the whole notion I can download films/tv series for when I'm not connected to wifi. Also on top of that when I select no rush delivery I get £1 digital credit back which I can use it towards a film/album to keep forever.

At the moment I'm buying Marvel films on Amazon using my no rush credit so it's no cost to me. I know Netflix have marvel films on it but I can't watch them offline. I suppose if Netflix started to offer an offline mode, they would become something more than amazons service.

From what I read there are far more things to watch on Amazon compared to Netflix

I do have Netflix which family and close friends put towards so we can watch things such as Jessica Jones and Luke Cage and any other Netflix original series. I pay for Amazon myself as I only pay £39 a year and I primary use it more than anyone even though I let my family members use Prime Music and Amazon Video

I have Netflix and I also have prime so get the Amazon video service. What I appreciate with prime is being able to rent a new movie. A bit like a bkockbusters from yesteryear, newly released movies cost a bit more.

Having both, I agree with the above. They were much of a muchness a couple of years ago, but recently, nextfix has steamed ahead, I hardly watch Amazon now.
Apparently Netflix are going to be adding the ability to download and watch off line soon.

I have both and watch different things from each.

I use Amazon all of the time, so find the £79 a year fee excellent value.

I like that I can download and watch films and series' offline.

Also Amazon Music is improving all of the time, and again I have downloaded loads to my phone.

I'm the same as hottoast, I much prefer Netflix for the content and layout but Amazon offline viewing is a big bonus

also I find Amazon music selection great , I have cancelled Spotify as a result of it

Amazon has the option to download onto an SD card for offline viewing which is great if you travel a lot.
Netflix has better original shows and more TV shows, Amazon has a slightly better range of films (Nowtv if you want films).
