    New O2 upgrade

Hi. just a bit of advice really. My O2 phone is due for upgrade. I only want to spend £15 a month and want a decent phone. Any ideas of the sort of phone you reckon I could get. Thanks.

    I did mine a few months ago. £15 a month unlimited text 100 mins got a 5800

Hi, I also got a nokia 5800, I'm on £20 a month and I get 600 minutes, 500 texts and a bolt on of unlimited internet

You won't get a upgrade paying £15 per month on o2,they've stopped doing all the reduced line rentals and even at the like of paying £22 upwards the phones they are offering are not the greatest, average around £60-£70,

You'd be better going elsewhere or taking a simplicity sim

A few months ago,YES,you would have got that, but they changed all their tariffs discounts at end of july

    Mobile.co.uk (Part of carphone Warehouse)

Nokia 5530 100mins + Unlimited Texts £15 per month. Plus £30 cash back or 16 months half price line rental (By redemption)

Which will work aout at 16 months at £7-50 and the 8 at £15.

Plus £50 cah back through Quidco.

Thanks. I currently have a contract with o2 that is free for 10 months then I pay 2 bills of £30. = £60 a year. £5 a month in effect. Its a good deal but I need a new phone and I doubt they will offer me this deal again. Have had it for the past 2 years.

They did brill deals in the past,my contract always worked out free overall for the year with their upgrade deals, but unfortunately the powers that be have had a rethink and concluded contracts like those are a loss maker so they pulled the plug ...

Anyone contacting o2 retentions hoping for a good upgrade has no hope of getting a deal like they used to be prepared to offer, they may negoiate slightly,ok it may not be a bad deal, but the good days are gone for the time being,

The like of a phone, say £200+ on payg, well they will only offer that on a £35+ per month contract,

Maybe, just maybe, they will reconsider when they see the amount of customers not renewing, but for now they're prepared to let you go and will happily give you your PAC
