New Phone Help

Posted 21st Feb
Good evening,

I'm looking for a new mobile as my current Nokia 7.1 has some really annoying flaws.

All I'm really wanting is:

32GB Minimum
3GB Minimum
NFC
Decent Camera
NOT Huawei or Nokia or a chinese brand

Budget - £130 max.

Thanks

Out of interest, what's up with your 7.1? I'm really impressed with my 7 Plus and picked up a 7.1 recently as needed a backup, no major complaints for a mid range handset running Android 10 for me.

Mainly the WiFi. Keeps losing connection, and then reconnecting again. Seems to lose connection really easily if there's only a few bars.
On different wi-fi networks, or one in particular? Other devices are fine?

Have you tried the option to "Reset wi-fi, mobile and bluetooth"? Setings > System > Advanced > Reset Options

As for your requirements, even without the price ruling out Chinese phones makes it rather tough I'd imagine.

I’ve got a Nokia 8.1, no issues whatsoever from day one.

Yeah tried a factory reset.

Only got my own network to try but all my other devices don't have issues so makes me think it's my Nokia.

Do you hide your SSID? Try broadcasting it. Try switching the channel in use too.

Try and get out somewhere else with it, test on another network and see if you can recreate the issue.

If it is your phine.....I'd expect it is still in warranty, I was fairly impressed with the service. Turned around in a week, taken via DHL to a repair centre in Budapest.

No my SSID is always displayed.
Do you want a phone that's still supported? As in a samsung s10. Or is it alright if it's not supported like an s8?
No Chinese phones, so you dont want a good phone ?

Motorola is owned by Lenovo..... which is a Chinese brand. So look elsewhere.

Xiaomi are some of the best cheaper phones around now and are now sold in uk stores and they are definitely better than Motorola, whats the problem ?

Xiaomi make better phones than Nokia and Motorola, so I don't get why you're afraid of Chinese brands.
Motorola is own by levono, i.e. Chinese.
No Chinese brand and Nokia which left you with Samsung, LG, Sony and Alcatel

For 130, it would probably be Samsung A20e/ A20

I don't think Xiaomi have NFC on their low end phone.
