    Cool pics casparwhite!

Priced at $249 USA and 249 Euros Europe.

Which seems to have generated a lot of 'what the hell are they thinking - did they learn nothing from the PS3 debarcle' posts on gaming forums.

    that looks awesome

Still only one analogue 'nub' & two shoulder buttons though.

    And *still* no touch screen.

And 'only' an 802.11b wireless connection?!?

Oh well... there's always next year.

Who wishes to wager when Universal Media Discs will be phased out completely?

    BFN,

gotta wait for that touch screen but i reckon they may suprise us with a nice oled/amoled screen when they get around to it.....

    no, its an M2 slot

edit...actually, ive no idea what that is.

Touch screen for media navigation when the slide is closed should have be a priority.

Improved browser and wireless connnectivity should have also been there.

Anyway, did anyone see the Gran Turismo PSP videos, looks pretty incredible, better then most Wii games

Sony has confirmed that the digital games will be the SAME price as UMD games!!!

it has also just been anounced that you will be able to download games you already own!!!

Son has noted today that they will allow new owners of the PSP Go handheld to download digital copies of games they currently own on UMD, because the drive has been removed from the updated console.

John Koller, PSP hardware marketing director says Sony will create a "good will program" that he compared to "digital copies" that come with Blu-ray titles. The digital titles are free and allow users to playback the movie on portable devices or their computers.

"We'll be unveiling that [program] soon [because] we actually think there's a significant group that will be upgrading from the 1000," Koller added. "In the past, we've seen a 20-25% trade-up factor, and I assume that's going to be the case here. We've modeled that."

There still may be a chance however that users will have to pay a small charge to receive the digital copy, as well as send in proof of ownership via a UPC cut out.

It's also just been noticed that the battery is non-replaceable.

    Bummer didnt notice that!

The other things people have noticed is that:

    1. the battery life is the same as the 3000 as they've shrunk the battery at the same time as removing the UMD drive - should give 4 to 6 hours of play between charges.

    2. None of your existing peripherals work with it as they've now got a different "all in one" adaptor. This includes the GPS kit etc.

    3. Having no UMD means you can't borrow anyone elses games to try before buying.
