Am doing a fairly low spec build (5600G) but don't want to cheap out on the PSU and risk damaging things (I had a PSU blow up on me years ago so once bitten...).

What are the good quality but also decent value options out there?

    I was going to say cooler master v550 gold v2. I bought one of them on a price dip on amazon for £37 back in march and just checked the price and they are over £80 now.

    There should be places selling 550w on the cheap now because people are wanting higher wattage ones.
