I read that only HD boxes will be updated guide as the standard and + boxes aren't as powerful component wise. Although initially they planned it for all the Sky boxes.

Uncles HD box upgraded and still haven't got the new card.

The new EPG is for HD Boxes only at the moment, it has only been released on Thompson HD Boxes so far and as shaun said, new cards have nothing to do with the new EPG

i thot that cheers for confirming Robot,i got my card today and nothing to do with the EPG

HD boxes only 'cos the Sky+ boxes dont have a big enough hard drive.

It isn't anything to do with the HDD - it is that all Sky + boxes would need to be able to run it and the processors in the early PVR1 models can barely run digital teletext.

I am glad, they finally got most of the bugs out of the old EPG.

Really? Thats what the sky engineer told me.

Sky "installer", they don't employ engineers. Also he was wrong. The EPG isn't stored on the HDD, or else you wouldn'r be able to DIY install bigger HDDs.
