Just got another Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 Update.

Downloaded it but not installed it yet as wanted to look on the net to see if there'd been any issues.

Anyone else downloaded?

Gonna have a quick look around now then install it :-)

No i'm not sure at all, but can't find any other reference about an update
Having read through that thread I posted above, don't think its Marshmallow after all
It's another 5.1.1 update. I've done it from previous 5.1.1

Don't use bluetooth often so can't comment. So far so good (20 mins).

Oh, I'm unlocked on three fwiw

Ok, I'm also unlocked on Three so quite happy I'm always quite quick to get updates.

I use Bluetooth everyday (Car handsfree, MiBand etc) and never had any issues so I'm a bit dubious about messing with something that doesn't appear to need fixing?

I saw this update earlier today and wondered whether it was the one that did cause the bluetooth issue. I've been using the bluetooth quite often since getting it a couple of weeks ago and not had an issue with it not ringing. I'm also in the 'If it ain't broke' crowd but I've noticed the signal reception is pretty poor compared to my Moto G first gen and I'm hoping this update will help that too.
I'm of the 'of it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality. But I'm also stupid!

The Bluetooth/loss of ring issue was reported ages ago on the voda support forums. I'd be surprised of this was the update that introduced it or we'd have got it earlier than today?!

Either way a look around the voda forums later may illuminate things.. Watch this space:

All looking good so far, just rang myself and it rings, Bluetooth devices all still connected and working.

Can't really see any differences....... We shall see
Seems to be a fix for bluetooth/call answering issue.
I never had that issue. Did the update anyway as it also stated it upgraded performance......Not seen any differences or changes in performance or ANYTHING though :P
I had the bluetooth problem, updated it last week and so far so good seems to have sorted it. !
Wish i'd never done the update

My battery used to last upto 2 days or a full day with average use and the main use was 'Screen'

Now my battery is getting hammered with 'Mobile Standby' today alone its drained my battery from 65% charge down to 14% with no use whats so ever. Even putting the damn thing in flight mode doesn't help!

Is there anyway to revert back to the previous update?

Guessing the answer is no
No idea on rollback, and the "doesn't do that on mine" posts are never helpful, but can only suggest doing a factory reset and installing the apps from scratch because post update... it doesn't ..yeah, you know the rest.

Always worth popping onto the Voda support forums too to see if anyone else is having the same issue, etc.

Sorry to be unhelpful

Thanks.

I've done numerous google searches and it seems to be a bug with 5.1.1 although i never had it prior to the last update.

It appears all the apps running the background are causing it, so now i keep shutting them all down, which apparently you shouldn't really do with Android. Its made it better but my battery life is no way near what it used to be
The problem with these updates is that you can only put them off for so long. I kept avoiding the last one and eventually it just said "Freck you!" and went ahead and did it anyhow.

We're an update closer to them not needing us at all.
