Hi there, our Zanussi has just givn up the ghost. Does the wash but won't drain. checked the pump and it's fine so must be the panel not sending the instructions to the machine to tell it to drain. Rather than pay out £60 for someone to look at it and say i'ts a £100 panel I thought i'd get a new one.

Any recommendations? won't bother with Zanussi again. Heard Bosch the best but out of my price range. Want to pay £200-250 max.

May be a silly question but have you checked the filter? Also I had the same problem when the outlet pipe was blocked and managed to clear it with a net curtain wire.

Yes, there was a plastic shirt collar piece in the filter so we thought we'd cracked as we managed to do a couple of washes after but it is still doing the same now, particuarly when it has lots of towels in it.

Will look at the outlet pipe, cheers.

I got sick of replacing expensive washers so I bought a cheap one, a Beko - it has been great for the last year and washes well. anyway, TESCO have one for £149 in the sale with rapid free delivery - definately worth a go and more than I paid :x

take a look at this site

Was looking at this one - dixons.co.uk/mar…877

can get extra 2.5% off too with code.

When we had the Zanussi upside down the plastic ball fell out of the pipe and we thought we'd put it back in place but it must have fallen back out as i've just found it smashed up in the filter. Have cleaned out the filter but presume without the ball in the pipe other small items, like kids socks may now be prone to falling in?

Only had it 4-5 years so am wondering if paying for a service might help it last another couple of years?

I had my Zanussi for 15 years so it may be worth getting it serviced.

I've just ordered this model Candy GO482 washing machine from Comet on line £249.99
has fantastic customer reviews on various sites, but this was best price. It is A+ rated &
1400rpm spin, plus 8kg load capacity - may be worth a look. Happy hunting!
