I have this through work and I can tell you that it's awesome, no more waiting around or calling up at 8am to get a spot with a doctor, they call you through the app kind of like facetime and they can give you prescriptions that you go and pick up! We are living in 3019 now!
I use GP at Hand. It's free for everyone on the NHS, not just those with a code.

For people applying, please be aware that Babylon will become your GP surgery if you sign up so you can't go to your current one as a patient. Physical consultations are available but you must be referred from a video call appointment. Most London clinic locations are in central London so it could be a long commute, check if there is one close by before registering!

Main reason of losses was international expansion. Expansion is expensive. If Babylon grows larger then they will eventually cut costs.
In theory it sounds like a great idea.
I can see why they try out London and students because it's early on in the system, can't be overloaded with liabilities like potential cancers etc so they need healthier candidates.
In reality, students are typically fit as a fiddle unless they need to go to A&E or they want the pill. So they are really collecting medical and phone data.

I'm not sure how I think of this, the idea is good but I think finance/business will drive them to collect/use/sell data. It needs a money pit entity to do this, like NHS.

Anyone can join at any age for free. It's just unlikely that a person with more complicated issues would join. This annoys physical GP surgeries as they usually use the funding from the healthy to subside expenses from the ones with medical issues.
