I need help in finding the best deal, It seems the price is going up!

£350 seems a good price with the lens. That £259 deal was a very good one, might be better of waiting for a deal to come up at some point or a voucher for jessops. I did find one for £330ish but its OOS

The lower price (£259.99) was from 8 months ago when the exchange rate was stronger against the Dollar. Now that the pound is weak, it costs more for the importers to ship it in, therefore the retailer has to pay more from the manufacture. Until the Pound becomes much more stronger (ie: GBP 1.00 = USD 1.90ish), the prices will always remain slightly higher than before xmas. Unfortunately, the general public do not realise that the rate of the Dollar does effect the selling prices of product here in the UK

Never thought the exchange rate would make such a difference!
Thanks for the wisdom, I did look into getting the D40.

What do you guys think of it? any deals?
