    Nina and her Neurons

Just been watching Nina and her Neurons tv show with my son and they reckon that a snowman lasts longer if you put black clothes on it. Now I always thought that white snow reflected radiated heat therefore would last longer than a snowman with black clothes therefore absorbing radiated heat?

    Any thoughts?

Yes but it also takes in radiated heat (what the sun supplys) much better than white things. ie why a black stone is hotter than a white stone on the beach, you can notice this especially during the summer.
