Nintendo DS games not working

Basically, I have a load of dl'd games and they work fine in the R4DS card.
That is until recently, when one or two have tried to load up, and then I get a blank screen(s)
I have updated to firmware to latest 1.18 (I think that's right from memory) and no difference.
Anyone else experienced this? Or knows of a way of correcting it?
I have re-dl'd the games and it makes no difference, so over to you guys and gals who know more about this than I do.

Cheers in advance

Have you tried rolling back your firmware?
Might also be worth copying all your files temporarily to the computer and formatting the memory card so you have clean space for the files.

is the card full? perhaps the latest saves don't leave enough temporary memory to load the games...?

The problem started with the original firmware 1.11, so that's why we updated it.
Fortunately, all games are backed up. The problem has only started in the last week and we haven't uploaded or downloaded to the card in this time.
Thanks anyway.

I thought that, but son tells me it's only just started to do it and was fine before.
Thanks anyway.

I agree with Mbeeching its best to format card then put the games back on and try again

Yes, if there is space on the card still then this would be best. I once had the same with my TTDS. Wouldn't work after I used an R4 in the slot and then put the TTDS card back in later. Copied all the files from the TTDS onto the PC, reformatted the disc and replaced the files, and it worked fine again.

OK. Re-formatted in FAT32 mode and re-uploaded only 2 games to it. These are the 2 games that didn't work before. I'll try loading it with more games tonight, but thought I'd let you people know, who've been helping me out.

Thanks guys.

Take the cartridge out and blow out the dust, old school style. That's what I did when it happened to me!

Thanks for that.

I've re-loaded a load of games (about 45 of them) and they all seem to work now.

Thanks to everyone.

I would guess 2gb, as the R4 has a maximum limit of 2gb.
