You'll have plenty of fun with Wii sports alone. If it is something you can all enjoy, then I also think Wii Fit is worth considering. I'm guessing your parents won't be into Mario Galaxy or Resident Evil 4! (Both great though!)

Get Wii Play for the extra remote if it's around.

That Steven Spielberg Jenga knockoff (boom blox) is supposed to be good and Mariokart is sweet as is Mario Galaxy. The best however is Guitar Hero III if you buy two guitars to rock out with your Dad.

Didn't think Wii Play was up to much myself, but it is a good way to buy the remote. I bought the package for £24 and sold Wii Play for £12.99 on ebay. Mario Kart is superb though - forgot about that because we are playing the gamecube version while we wait for our Wii copy to arrive!

What about a memory card, worth getting?

Not really, unless you mean a gamecube memory card. There is plenty of internal storage on the wii. I do think it's worth getting a couple of gamecube controllers so that you can play GC games - A lot of great games at cheap prices 2nd hand. For the price of two new controllers you can pick up a Gamecube console bundle on ebay

Good price and a good game. Our kids love the GC version. Bit too manic for me though...

If you have any sd card at home or even a microsd with an sd adaptor that should work fine - more people have that lying around so i guess you might

in terms of games i would recommend the following

super mario galaxy ( 10-15 minutes to get into but loads of fun)
    mario kart (great online fun)
metroid prime corruption (immersing first person shooter - but a bit hard to get into)
super paper mario (something a little different)

If you wanna check online ratings the following link is good

    ]http//ww…asp

you can sort wii games by highest online average rating from dozens of reviews - just use the tools at the top if the doesnt work

Oh and there is alwyas the virtual console where you can download classics from the nes, snes and n64 if you find yourself getting bored from the wii games

The use of an SD card gives you the option of having MP3's and Jpegs on your Wii, I don't use it for Game saves at all. You can mess around with the Jpegs, and make puzzles and doodle etc.

I would get one, they are only ~£4.

So can you just use any SD card or are you better getting a Wii one

Zelda is next on the list, we are already big zelda fans and have played it from N64 through gameboy, GBA, GBA SP, NDS, and now Wii!

You can get any SD card, Wii ones are over-priced ones that are made to fool the ignorant.

Thanks, thought so but the reviews said stuff about voiding the warranty so just wanted to double check
