Nintendo wii for £141.50 @ pcworld/currys/dixons using the price match promise similar to 360 deal previously posted

I dont know whether this is technically a deal or if it will help a lot of people but considering ASDA have the Wii for £145 instore as of tomorrow and PC-World etc have it listed as £179 instore using the following in theory you could get a Wii for £141.50 brand new right there.

please see here

Maybe worth a punt if shops are selling out etc or you live closer to PC world. But still think asda deal is easier lol

Taken from PC-World website

shows it has worked for others in past, I know its not much difference in price but its a saving even further

its 145 from tomorrow and its a 'low' (under 3%) saving imo that everyone already knows about.
imo valid pricematch deals are the ones where they have stuff at 2 year old rrps and matched to about 25% of their store price etc

sure enough, will probably get cold but as I said it may help some...plus its still a saving so not to fussed if people vote cold, littlewoods code get voted hot all the time and then voted cold. It worked in the case of 360 a few weeks back

This info should be added to the description in the ASDA Deal

PC World is cheaper than their matched vendors EVERY time they price match.
If you seriously think that posting a pricematch of one of their 30 matched vendors evertime an offer from one is posted will get you heat then go ahead.. but its far better to post this minor relative saving in the thread its derived from.

As i said above pricematches are only worthy of a seperate deal if they make a significant relative saving, otherwise the small change is hardly worth the effort or the spam on the forum.
eg of good example i saw in past (rough prices)
mem card 60 quid in pcworld
cheapest online price 18 quid cheapest pricematchable price 20 quid
pricematched against 20 quid = 20-4 = 16quid = new best price available
The trick there was to use one retailer to make it cheaper than the cheapest but by using a company that wasn't the cheapest to get the saving.
Anything else is just an automatic thought process and unworthy of spammage.

Very good price if you can get it but a price match is not really a deal and subject to lots of variables like location, stock levels, staff attitude. Sorry but cold from me.

thats fair enough. as I have said it would probably be easier for most to just go asda...but it may help some...the 360 deal benifited a fair few as the asda direct site had plenty in stock so people who werent close to store could still price match. I think this will be spammed anyways...Brilly thinks so

ive not spammed the thread because in site terms its not spam - it common sense terms it is.

if the xbox360 thread helped due to asda direct then thats reliant on staff stupidity as asda direct is not a company they pricematch as its not strictly asda (think its thehut) and so they can refuse on that basis.

This is like 3 posts of deals from pcworld, currys, dixons all of the same product for the same price - then 3 seperate pricematch posts of another company pricematching them.
One post would sum up all six potential threads.
Same with thehut and its companies or vouchers for littlewoods, additions and the other ones that use the exact same vouchers etc

Moved to MISC as price matches aren't normally listed as deals, thanks

lol I wasnt sure so i checked as Brilly was adimant this wasn't worth posting etc, and it was getting frosty in here. oh well it will help some somewhere

your post says 'pricematch exists' nothing more really
we know asda price is great
we know pc world pricematch and will beat it
its almost insulting to be told it!

i know you are trying to help but imo only significant relative savings are worthwhile pricematch posts.

You really seem to have taken offence to this post...calm down brilly. Cheer up, it has been made an info post, and its there for people who do not know about the price match...trust me there are enough people that unlike you do not know everything, and hopefully this helps them

i am not mad, in the same way you seem to be mad defending it
