hi just wondering how the wii points system works?????? thanx

You can buy wii point cards from stores. Or go straight onto the wii shop channel on your wii and buy points there using your debit/credit card.

When you have points you can then surf the list of available games on the channel to buy. When you have selected to buy a game you can download it onto your console. Once a game has been bought you can download it as many times as you want on to that console. (you can not transfer downloaded games to any other console).

A downloaded game can be stored on a memory card or the wiis internal memory, if for some reason you ever decide todelete it (ie you need to free up some memory) you can always re download that game for free at another time.

Wii points can not be retransferred back into money, and can not be transferred to someone elses account.

Nintendo VIP points (recieved with the purchase of some games/consoles) can be transferred into wii points at sometime in the future, but this option is not currently available.

    Hope all this helps

    Yes it does.

If you have access to wireless internet, you're good to go as the wii is capable of going online straight from the box, all built in. No need for usb stick etc etc.

If you don't you will need an adapter thingy.

damm dont have wireless. is it going to b very difficult to hook up to norm internet??

I don't think it should. Mines wireless so I have no idea, but Im guessing you will need to buy an adaptor, then just plug it it using the internet cable? Not sure though, or go wireless which is much nowadays.

Yup you need an adaptor and a long ethernet cable to go from wired router to wii - tis faster though, and no encryption problems (Wii only supports limited encryption unfortunately so not ideal for keeping network secure).

If you live in an apartment, terrace, semi or detached house that is close to neighbours, why not ask if they have a wireless network, if you get on well they may be more then happy for you to leech off them, since the wii won't really slow their connection down. My friend used to share wireless with their neighbours.
